Middle Tennessee coach Kermit Davis watched Western Kentucky defeat UAB on Thursday, and what he saw was a team that "looked as good as any team in our league."
Whether or not that team is here to stay - if the slate really was wiped clean this week - will be decided when the Hilltoppers welcome rival MTSU at 7 p.m. Saturday at E.A. Diddle Arena.
"The next game's the most important game, Saturday, especially Middle," WKU junior center Ben Lawson said. "It's a big rivalry. We're going to be fired up for that one as well.
