BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Western Kentucky men's basketball coach Ray Harper claimed he had no idea who the Hilltoppers would play in Friday's Conference USA Tournament semifinals after advancing.
After eighth-seeded WKU (18-15) knocked off top-seeded UAB 88-77 in Thursday's quarterfinals, Harper's first priority was grabbing a bite to eat.
"I'm hungry," Harper said. "I've got to get something to eat, and then we'll figure that out."
That was before the Tops learned they'll face fifth-seeded Old Dominion at 3 p.m. Friday at Legacy Arena. The Monarchs knocked off No. 4 seed Louisiana Tech 68-52 on Thursday.
