The Thundering Herd put on a clinic for the visiting Hilltoppers (8-6), thoroughly dominating the teams' Conference USA opener with a 94-76 victory at the Cam Henderson Center.
"They were just more aggressive," WKU sophomore forward Justin Johnson said. "We didn't get stops when we needed. We had no communication on the defensive end, and communication's what we emphasized all week in practice."
Once Marshall took control - and it came quickly with a series of alley-oops, backdoor layups, open 3s and other WKU defensive blunders - the Hilltoppers were never back in the thick of it.
