Freshman Goods leaves WKU program

WKU released the following statement Monday afternoon from coach Michelle Clark-Heard regarding the freshman forward:

“Simone and I met and she has decided to focus on her academics for the remainder of this semester. Following the conclusion of the academic year, she will look to explore other opportunities."

Goods played in 19 games this season for the Lady Toppers (20-5 overall, 11-3 Conference USA). She averaged 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per game.

The 6-foot-2 Omaha, Neb., native scored a career-high 10 points Jan. 30 at Middle Tennessee. Goods played seven scoreless minutes Saturday at Charlotte, grabbing four rebounds in an 81-72 loss.
