Matt Nord will put on a football uniform one more time and represent his country in the process.
The former Western Kentucky offensive lineman is heading to Harbin, China, next month to compete for the United States in the 2018 Football World University Championships.
Nord and the U.S. team will battle for a gold medal against Canada, China, Japan, Mexico and other nations.
Nord and his teammates will volunteer in the community and conduct football clinics for Chinese children when they’re not busy playing in the tournament-style event.
Nord’s WKU career ended in December with a Cure Bowl loss to Georgia State.
