IRVING, Texas — After leading WKU Football to its second-consecutive league title, quarterback Mike White was named Conference USA Newcomer of the Year as voted on by league head coaches, the conference announced Wednesday.
This comes a day after White was named an All-C-USA Second Team quarterback. The redshirt junior has gone 260-386 (67.4 percent) for 4,027 yards, with 34 touchdowns and six interceptions through 13 games in his first season as a Hilltopper.
White transferred to WKU from USF prior to the 2015 season, in which he redshirted and learned the offense behind 2015 C-USA MVP Brandon Doughty.
