Football. Tyler Higbee Drafted in Fourth Round of 2016 NFL Draft by Los Angeles Rams

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With the 110th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams selected former WKU tight end Tyler Higbee in the fourth round on Saturday.

Higbee becomes WKU’s highest offensive draft pick of all-time and third-highest draft pick overall in the common draft era. He is the first offensive player to be drafted from the Hilltoppers since fullback Jeremi Johnson went in the fifth round (150 overall) to the Cincinnati Bengals in 2003.

As a senior, Higbee launched into the starting role as a senior as he appeared in nine games with eight starts and proved his versatility as a blocker and pass catcher, earning a midseason addition to the Biletnikoff Watch List.
