MIAMI — In the basketball-crazed Bluegrass, Western Kentucky is making the most headway on the gridiron.
So have the Hilltoppers turned WKU into a "football school?"
"We're a university that everything we do, we want to do well," WKU President Gary Ransdell said Sunday before the Miami Beach Bowl. "We want this program to achieve, but that doesn't mean we don't want our basketball program, our volleyball program, our softball program, swimming, track and field – whatever it is. We want all of them to compete at a high level and be successful. That's just how we intend to do things at WKU.
