BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With the 249th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected a former WKU cornerback Prince Charles Iworah in the seventh round on Saturday.
WKU had three individuals selected in the 1971 Draft which had 17 rounds and 442 picks, compared to seven rounds and 253 in today’s draft era. He is the first Hilltopper to ever be drafted by the San Francisco 49ers and the second today to head to California, along with tight end Tyler Higbee (Los Angeles Rams).
