Football. Hilltopper Duo to Play in East-West Shrine Game

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – For the third straight season, No. 25 WKU will have two players play in the East-West Shrine Game as quarterback Brandon Doughty and wide receiver Jared Dangerfield accepted their invitations to play in one of the nation’s oldest all-star games on Jan. 23, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The duo will follow Cameron Clemmons and Cam Thomas from last season and Xavius Boyd and Andrew Jackson in 2014 as the Hilltopper participants. Bobby Rainey (2012) was the other representative from The Hill to participate in the contest.

The 91st edition of the premier all-star game will be shown live from Tropicana Field on NFL Network at 3 p.
