Football. Brandon Doughty Drafted in Seventh Round of 2016 NFL Draft by Miami Dolphins

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- With the 223rd pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected a former WKU quarterback Brandon Doughty, a hometown product, in the seventh round on Saturday.

Doughty grew up playing football in Davie, Fla., where the Dolphins practice and becomes the first WKU quarterback taken in the NFL Draft as well as the second-ever played drafted out of WKU by the Dolphins. He becomes WKU's 30th draft pick in program history and fifth of the FBS era.

One of college football's most productive quarterbacks, Doughty broke every passing record in program history and holds 37 school records, including 17 career records.
