Finally finishing: WKU closes out 59-54 win over Charlotte

The Western Kentucky men's basketball team finally won a close one.

And not only that, the Hilltoppers did it with their largest comeback ever under coach Ray Harper.

WKU (13-14 overall, 5-9 Conference USA) stormed back from an 18-point deficit in the first half, snapping a three-game slide with a 59-54 victory over Charlotte in front of 3,570 fans at E.A. Diddle Arena.

"Give these kids a lot of credit," Harper said. "They kept getting hit, and they kept getting knocked down, and they keep getting up. They're learning some good life lessons about how to continue to fight and to continue to compete.
