Raneem Elgedawy has been named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon, breaking a tie with Tashia Brown for the most C-USA Freshman of the Week honors in Western Kentucky women's basketball history.
Elgedawy turned in the most efficient week of her young career, shooting 60 percent or better from the field in back-to-back games for the first time. The Alexandria, Egypt, native averaged 14 points and 11.5 rebounds and picked up her fourth double-double of the season against UTSA on Thursday afternoon, tallying 13 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks against the Roadrunners.
