First-year Western Kentucky baseball coach John Pawlowski's recent charge of driving under the influence was dismissed outright Wednesday morning in Warren District Court.
Pawlowski's attorney, Brian Lowder, could not immediately be reached for comment.
Lowder told the Daily News in a statement Monday that he expected a dismissal, saying the charge "lacks probable cause," and that the arresting Kentucky State Police trooper "made a mistake and unfortunately it has resulted in significant and irreparable damage to my client. The prompt dismissal of the charge will be a step in the right direction."
Trooper B.J. Eaton, spokesman for Kentucky State Police Post 3, declined to comment to the Daily News on Monday.
