Western Kentucky will have two players in the East-West Shrine Game for the third straight season.
Quarterback Brandon Doughty and receiver Jared Dangerfield have accepted their invitations to play in the all-star game Jan. 23 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Cameron Clemmons and Cam Thomas represented WKU in the game last season, following Xavius Boyd and Andrew Jackson in 2014. Bobby Rainey participated in 2012.
Doughty leads the Football Bowl Subdivision this season in completion percentage (71.8), touchdowns (45) and points responsible for (286).
Dangerfield has 76 catches for 752 yards and seven touchdowns and is the first player in school history with multiple seasons of 60-plus receptions.
