Dolphins waive former WKU standout QB Doughty

The Miami Dolphins waived former Western Kentucky standout quarterback Brandon Doughty on Wednesday.

Doughty, a seventh-round pick (223rd overall) by Miami in the 2016 NFL draft, spent the entire 2017 season on the Dolphins' practice squad. In 2016, Doughty was inactive for one game and spent the rest of the season on the team's practice squad.

A native of Davie, Fla., Doughty was a three-year starter at WKU (2013-15).
