Western Kentucky’s defense carried the Lady Toppers to a 12th straight win Friday.
WKU held Louisiana Tech to a .053 hitting percentage on its way to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-16) victory at E.A. Diddle Arena.
That defense took center stage on a night when the Lady Tops (16-2 overall, 3-0 Conference USA) weren’t at their best offensively. WKU hit at a .235 clip, far off its average hitting percentage this season of .336.
WKU’s last loss came Sept. 2 against Illinois. The Lady Toppers have won 12 straight matches since then, including victories at Florida Atlantic and Charlotte and at home Friday against La Tech (5-11, 0-2) to start league play.
