Coleby announced Monday that he was leaving Kansas to take a graduate transfer year.
Coleby, a 6-foot-9, 240-pound forward, played one season for the Jayhawks after playing his first two seasons at Mississippi. He averaged 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds last season for Kansas.
Arkansas-Little Rock, Louisiana-Monroe, Stephen F. Austin and WKU were among schools initially linked to the Nassau, Bahamas native. Creighton, Georgia Tech, Illinois and Seton Hall are among other schools that Sears said have shown interest.
“There are a bunch of schools that have been calling,” Sears said. “Anytime you have a big guy with some experience, it’s going to garner some sort of interest.
