Western Kentucky men’s basketball picked up its third Class of 2018 commitment Sunday courtesy of Galen Smith III.
Smith, a power forward from Bay Saint Louis, Miss., spent the weekend at WKU on an official visit before announcing his pledge Sunday on Twitter.
Smith (6-foot-10, 240 pounds) is coach Rick Stansbury’s third Class of 2018 commit, joining Texas point guard Jeremiah Gambrell and junior college power forward Matthew Horton.
The Mississippi native Smith is spending his final prep season at Kahuku High and Intermediate School in Hawaii. He averaged 13.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game as a high school junior.
