Western Kentucky has its first known commitment in the Class of 2017.
Christian County wide receiver Keyron Catlett confirmed to the Daily News on Saturday night that he’s committed to play for the Hilltoppers. The Kentucky New Era reported he’d received his scholarship offer from WKU just hours earlier.
Catlett, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound rising senior, is listed by 247Sports as a three-star prospect, the No. 5 prospect in Kentucky in his class and the 135th-ranked Class of 2017 receiver nationally.
Catlett had a strong 2015 season for coach Steve Lovelace’s Colonels. He caught 62 passes for 797 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior, helping Christian County to an 8-4 record.
