For the next two weeks, Willie Taggart is Western Kentucky's enemy.
But in the other 50 weeks of the year – and every other time the Hilltoppers aren't preparing for South Florida – Taggart is an old friend and adopted family.
He's also the man who twice provided WKU with the shot in the arm it needed to keep moving forward.
"It should be very favorably," WKU athletic director Todd Stewart said of how Taggart should be viewed, "because he had an impact on this program in three different ways."
Taggart, in his own words, has WKU in his DNA – as a player, assistant coach and a head coach.
