Her Western Kentucky team didn’t win Saturday, but Tashia Brown was outstanding.
The sophomore forward matched a career-high with 29 points – 21 of which came in the first half – in an 85-78 loss to UTEP at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Brown hit 11 of 17 field goals, 1 of 3 3-pointers and 6 of 7 free throws for the Lady Toppers (18-4 overall, 9-2 Conference USA). She also tallied four rebounds and a steal against five turnovers in 37 minutes on the floor as WKU fell into a second-place tie with Middle Tennessee in the C-USA standings.
