Taylor Brown was a late recruiting coup for Western Kentucky coach Michelle Clark-Heard. Now the freshman forward has become a key factor off Heard’s bench.
Brown had back-to-back strong outings last week to help the Lady Toppers (16-2 overall, 7-0 Conference USA) to two double-digit wins at E.A. Diddle Arena.
On Thursday, the 6-foot Paterson, N.J., native tallied eight rebounds and seven assists in WKU’s 68-51 victory against Old Dominion on Spread the Red Education Day.
Then Saturday, Brown set career highs in points (10), rebounds (eight) and minutes (27) in a 77-66 win over Charlotte.
