Jeff Brohm was loyal to Western Kentucky, and Western Kentucky showed its loyalty to Brohm on Wednesday.
WKU athletic director Todd Stewart announced at the program's National Signing Day party Wednesday evening that the school has agreed to a four-year contract extension through 2019 with Brohm, who led the Hilltoppers to a 12-2 record, a Conference USA championship, a Miami Beach Bowl win and a top-25 ranking in 2015.
Brohm's base salary will increase from $600,000 to $800,000 in a bump supported entirely by private funds. The contract, which takes effect April 1 and has a rollover format to keep it at four years, is subject to approval by the WKU Board of Regents in the spring.
