Rick Stansbury is expected to be named Western Kentucky's new men's basketball coach at a news conference Monday, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation told the Daily News on Friday.
Stansbury, who led Mississippi State for 14 seasons, has most recently been an assistant at Texas A&M since 2014 and is now in the position of associate head coach.
Stansbury has agreed in principle to become WKU's new coach, barring any final hold-ups in the process, multiple sources said.
Further details of Monday's announcement are not known. Stansbury is expected to arrive in Bowling Green on Monday.
