NORFOLK, Va. – On the opening day of conference play, WKU (11-7, 0-2) could not overcome a tough Old Dominion (15-4, 2-0) squad as the Hilltoppers dropped a pair of games on Friday in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Monarchs ran out to an 8-3 victory in the first game of the doubleheader before claiming a narrow, 4-2, triumph in the second contest of the day. Game 3 of the series will start at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday from Bud Metheny Complex, with junior southpaw Ryan Thurston getting the ball for the Tops. The series finale will be streamed live on the Conference USA Digital Network.
