BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Started by four hitless innings and capped by a Grayson Ivey solo blast, the Red Team held on to a 3-2 victory over the Black Team on Thursday evening to take the Fall World Series in three games.
As they have in each of the three contests, the Red Team jumped out to a lead in the first inning, this time with two runs courtesy of junior Tyler Robertson. The second baseman went 2-for-3 in the game, including a two-out, two-strike, two-run double down the left-field line to give his squad a 2-0 advantage early.
