BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU (14-10, 3-3 C-USA) played in front of its largest on-campus crowd in six years at Nick Denes Field on Tuesday night, but could not slow down No. 4 Louisville (20-5, 6-3 ACC) in a 17-0 defeat in midweek action.
The game had an official attendance of 1,723, which was the most-attended contest at The Nick since the Hilltoppers last played the Cardinals on campus on April 14, 2010. It became the ninth game to hold over 1,000 spectators at Nick Denes Field since 2009. In his debut season on The Hill, head coach John Pawlowski has seen an average of just under 500 fans at his 12 home games.
