In the back-and-forth affair, WKU produced its fifth straight game of double-digit hits as it finished the game out-hitting the Bulldogs 11-9. It’s the first time the Hilltoppers have had five consecutive games with 10-plus hits since doing so in May of the 2013 season.
With the victory, head coach John Pawlowski became the first coach since the legendary Nick Denes (1958) to win five of his first six games at WKU, spanning back eight coaches.
