Baseball. Hilltoppers Improve to 6-1 with 10-4 Triumph at Belmont

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In its first midweek game of the season, (RV) WKU (6-1) pushed through the damp and windy conditions to secure its fifth straight win by defeating Belmont, 10-4, in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Hilltoppers will have a quick turnaround as they will come back to Nick Denes Field to play another local rival in Lipscomb on Tuesday, with the game to be broadcast live on WKUSports.tv at 3 p.m. CT.

WKU’s hot hitting has been the story of the early-season success this year, but it was the pitching that earned its first win at Belmont since 2011.
