Returning to his native Kentucky was one reason that drew Chris Barclay to Western Kentucky.
The chance to pick coach Jeff Brohm's brain about offense was another.
Barclay, a Louisville native like Brohm, will work with the Hilltopper running backs next season after leaving the same position at Marshall.
He's one of two assistants for Brohm so far for a rebuilt offensive staff, along with receivers coach Bryan Ellis, who previously coached running backs.
"Obviously he's had a ton of success as a coach in a lot of different places, but with him at the helm here, I think the sky is the limit," Barclay said of Brohm.
