The departure of Michelle Clark-Heard has led to a decommitment for WKU women's basketball, as 2018 signee Akira Levy will be granted release from her letter of intent, according to her Twitter account.
Levy is a four-star point guard from Cookeville, Tennessee. She was a two-time Tennessee Miss Basketball winner in high school. She was also a two-time state tournament MVP while playing at Upperman High School. She averaged 25.3 points, 9.4 assists and 4.8 steals in her senior season.
ESPN ranked Levy the number 66 player in her recruiting class.
Levy will be unable to sign with another team until the regular signing period, which starts April 11.
