AD Stewart: Trio of suspended WKU guards no longer enrolled in school

Western Kentucky is officially moving forward without a returning backcourt.

WKU athletic director Todd Stewart announced Tuesday that suspended men's basketball guards Fredrick Edmond, Marlon Hunter and Chris McNeal are no longer enrolled in the school.

"They have been released from their scholarship and are able to pursue other opportunities," Stewart said in a statement.

The guards were suspended from the basketball team March 17 following the outcome of a University Disciplinary Committee hearing on the evening of March 16.

No information concerning the disciplinary charges or outcome has been released by the university to this point because of federal privacy law.
