Top 3 Commitments:
4-Star LB Brendan Ferns
Ferns could probably play Tight End as well, but he's projected as an inside linebacker. He's the No. 136 overall recruit per 247Sports composite rankings. He's the No. 7 ILB and the No. 6 player from Ohio. WVU went hard at Ferns in the final weeks, beating out Penn State for him.
4-Star WR Steven Smothers
Ohio State was slightly involved, but Smothers was a heavy WVU lean even before he committed on Jan. 29th. A four-star WR, Smothers could play some CB if needed. He's the No. 275 overall recruit and the No. 51 WR. Hailing from Maryland, he was the No. 8 player in the state.
4-Star JUCO S Kyzir White
One of several JUCO recruits WVU landed, White is a four-star recruit. He's the No. 12 JUCO and the top safety. He'll be expected to make an impact early for the Mountaineers. For more on WVU's recruiting class, download the Chat Sports Android and iPhone app.
