Sophomore Habiba Shaker cruised past Akron’s Ariadna Blinova in straights sets (6-1, 6-3) to record a 3-0 singles record at the Akron Invitational. Sophomore Carolina Lewis tallied her second victory of the weekend, as she defeated Akron’s Luisa Echeverry in straight sets (6-2, 6-1).
Sophomore Yvon Martinez defeated her opponent in straight sets, only giving up one game in the second, to win the match by a score of 6-0, 6-1.
