Coming off a NCAA championship game appearance, WVU women’s soccer signed eight players on National Signing Day 2017. Coach Nikki Izzo-Brown has to replace four graduating seniors, which includes Hermann Trophy winner Kadeisha Buchanan and Canadian women’s national team member Ashley Lawrence.
Defender Lois Joel comes to Morgantown from London, England. She has represented England as a youth international player for three years, including the 2016 FIFA U-17 World Cup and UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship.
Lauren Segalla, a forward from Salisbury, Connecticut, played at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. She played her youth soccer at CFC United ECNL.
