OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — West Virginia hasn’t lost its mojo at the Big 12 women’s tournament.
Behind 21 points and nine rebounds from Naomi Davenport, the sixth-seeded Mountaineers led wire-to-wire in knocking off No. 3 seed Oklahoma State 69-60 on Saturday night.
Katrina Pardee added 15 points and four steals as West Virginia (21-10) pulled off an upset reminiscent of last year when it stunned three straight higher-seeded teams to win the tournament. Mike Carey’s team may is even more desperate this time after finishing the regular season with an 8-10 record in the Big 12.
