According to multiple reports, WVU Football will hire former Alabama graduate assistant Doug Belk to fill the vacant cornerbacks coach position. The role was vacated by Blue Adams last week.
Belk has been with the Tide since 2014, capturing the 2016 national championship. Before that, Belk was the defensive secondary coach at Valdosta State when the Blazers captured the 2012 Division II national championship.
He played for Carson-Newman College, a Division II school in Jefferson City, Tennessee, as a quarterback and wide receiver from 2006-2010. He is from Valdosta, Georgia, and played for Lowndes County High School.
