MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women’s tennis team tallied nine victories, four doubles and five singles wins, at the William & Mary Invitational, in Williamsburg, Virginia, earlier today.
“We rebounded well in today’s matches and had a much better showing overall,” said third-year coach Miha Lisac. “We have to be consistent in our approach, but I think we are starting to understand how we want to compete as a team.”
West Virginia faced Penn in doubles action, at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center, winning four of four matches against the Quakers.
The Mountaineers closed out the second day of the tournament, claiming all five singles matches against Dartmouth, at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
