In the morning session, West Virginia tallied six singles victories against UMKC.
Sophomore Habiba Shaker came out on top in a three-set battle against UMKC’s Raquel Argenal. Shaker dropped the first set, but bounced back in the final two sets to claim the victory by a score of 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (4).
Sophomore Yvon Martinez prevailed in a three-set match against UMKC’s Linda Ammar Mouhoub.
