MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia spotted Kansas an early 10-0 lead but the Mountaineers used a stifling defense and a strong rushing attack paced by Leddie Brown to defeat the Jayhawks 38-17 Saturday afternoon at Milan Puskar Stadium.
An announced crowd of 10,759 was in attendance for the first home game open to the general public this season. West Virginia defeated Kansas for the seventh consecutive season.
