MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s tennis team advanced three players to the final round in two of the four singles flights in day two of the WVU Pink Invitational, at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts, on Saturday.
“I think we showed some things today that were better than yesterday,” said third-year Miha Lisac. “We are looking to continue to get better tomorrow.”
In Flight B singles action, sophomores Habiba Shaker and Carolina Lewis will face each other tomorrow in the finals. Shaker bested Buffalo’s Margarita Kotok in straight sets by a score of 7-5, 6-2.
