SCOTTSDALE – West Virginia’s football program dismissed safety DaeJuan Funderburk after a New Year’s Day incident in which the redshirt freshman allegedly exposed himself to a member of the hotel’s cleaning crew and inappropriately touched the woman.

Funderburk was sentenced to five days in jail and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and indecent exposure at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch.

ABC 15-TV in Phoenix first reported the arrest, which occurred a day before the Mountaineers defeated Arizona State 43-42 in the Cactus Bowl.

The hotel employee told Scottsdale police she was attempting to clean Funderburk’s room when he became aggressive, began touching the employee and pulled down his pants down to expose himself, according to Scottsdale police.
