MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — All of the teams at West Virginia University and Marshall University have satisfied the Academic Progress Rate (APR) in figures released by the NCAA Tuesday.
Teams must maintain a minimum multi-year score of 930 to avoid NCAA penalties. The current four-year period encompasses the 2015-2016 to 2018-2019 academic years. The APR is based upon eligibility and retention of student-athletes on a semester-by-semester basis and is an assessment of real-time academic success.
WVU’s combined score of all programs is 985. That matches a school-best total from last year. Individually, the golf and rifle teams posted perfect scores of 1,000.
