MORGANTOWN W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s golf team heads out to its first full competition of the spring this week when the Mountaineers travel to Mobile, Alabama, to compete in the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
South Alabama will host 14 teams in addition to the Mountaineers at the tournament. Big 12 foe Kansas State will be in attendance, along with Louisville, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Louisiana Lafayette, Illinois State, Southern Mississippi, Western Kentucky, Georgia State, Texas State, Abilene Christian, Chattanooga and Alcorn State.
The teams will play the par-72, 7,212-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course
“We are excited to play in our first full-field event of the spring season,” WVU coach Sean Covich said.
