MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women’s tennis team opened its fall season at the William & Mary Tribe Invitational, in Williamsburg, Virginia, earlier today, with one doubles and two singles victories.
“We had a slow start in doubles today,” said third-year coach Miha Lisac. “Things did not go accordingly to plan, and we have a lot more work to do tomorrow. We picked up the intensity a little bit going into singles, and hopefully, we will be able to transfer that energy and mindset into doubles play tomorrow.”
West Virginia competed in four matches throughout the course of the day, as eight different Mountaineer players saw action in doubles and singles play.
