WVU Falls to Cyclones

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Iowa State in Big 12 action on Wednesday evening at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, falling in set scores of 25-20, 25-11 and 25-16,

The Mountaineers (5-15, 0-7) hit for a .116 clip with 28 kills and four team blocks, and committed 18 attacking errors and five service errors. The Cyclones (12-6, 5-2) hit .381 with four kills, registering seven aces.

“I thought we had some good moments,” said coach Reed Sunahara. “We’ve got to play a lot more consistent to string more points together.
