MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Baylor is a bear.
The Big 12’s last undefeated team did not earn that distinction by merely being lucky, though a pastry-filled non-conference schedule did not hurt the cause. (The 12th-ranked Bears’ three non-league games were against a 1-7 FCS team and two others rated in the bottom 10 of the FBS.)
Baylor (7-0, 4-0 Big 12) has offered no obvious weaknesses in the first half of the season, ranking in the top 20 nationally in both scoring defense and scoring offense. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Penn State are the only other schools who can say that right now.
