WVU was able to brave adverse weather conditions to win three races over the course of the day.
"We didn't handle the wind as well as we could have, but some of that comes with experience racing in those conditions,” coach Jimmy King said. “Our young crews are starting to figure out how to make their boats go in good conditions, but they are still learning how to make changes on the fly in the middle of racing as the wind gusts. We would obviously like to earn more wins, but to do that we need to learn from each opportunity including today's racing.
