MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University diving team completed the first day at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship in Annapolis, Maryland, hosted by Navy on Monday.
Sophomore Michael Proietto advanced to the finals to highlight the first day of competition for WVU. The men competed on 3-meter, while the women opened on 1-meter.
“The divers did well today,” said WVU diving coach Mike Grapner. “Mike Proietto had a great meet. It started out pretty rough on the men's side but finished with some positives. I'm pleased with the girls having Maddy (Woods) and Julia (Calcut) compete.
